Mission Statement

We believe it is the responsibility of the church to aid and assist families in the spiritual development of their children, based on Deuteronomy 6:5-9:

Love the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength. These commandments that I give you today are to be upon your hearts. Impress them on your children. Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up. Tie them as symbols on your hands and bind them on your foreheads. Write them on the doorframes of your houses and on your gates.

It is the purpose and desire of the Children’s Ministry to provide an environment for spiritual growth and to share God’s love through our ministry at New Prospect Baptist Church.

Our Goal:

It is our desire that all children will know God, be able to hear his voice, and have the courage to follow Him.

Opportunities:

Regular opportunities provided through the Children’s Ministry include Sunday School, Extended Care Nursery, Children’s Worship for ages 3-4, Kid’s Praise for ages 5-8, Preschool and Children’s Choirs, and Missions. Other activities include Easter Celebration, Vacation Bible School, Fishing Rodeo, Children’s Retreat, Connie Maxwell Mission trips, Operation Christmas Child, etc.
